What Is Non-Excisional Body Tightening?

It is, simply put, an incredible new way of achieving body contouring results without relying on a traditional surgical procedure. BodyTite allows patients to see impressive results that can include:

How BodyTite Works

During the procedure, a thin cannula is used, which is about the size of an 18-gauge needle (a fraction of a centimeter). This cannula is inserted through the skin while an external electrode is placed on the surface of the skin. An electrical current passing through the internal cannula and the external electrode creates a contained and uniform thermal field at the target site while maintaining an optimal temperature gradient on both ends for maximum safety and effectiveness.

Is BodyTite too good to be true?

While the procedure does have some limitations, there is no doubt about its ability to produce results. Radio-Frequency Assisted Lipolysis (RFAL) is a scientifically proven technology with demonstrable results. It works by transforming RF energy into heat deep within the target zones, maximizing the coagulation of fatty tissue and contracting strands of collagen connecting the different layers of skin and tissue.

When will I see the results?

Once the treatment is complete, results can be seen immediately, although optimal results are usually seen within 3–6 months after the treatment. Patients report a sense of progress as they see their final results gradually appear, enjoying the daily improvement. Results can last for a long time, but a patient’s lifestyle choices will also play a role in the longevity of benefits. Will there be a recovery period?

Although the procedure is considered minimally invasive, most patients will require some downtime, usually between 5-10 days, depending on the place and number of areas treated. Still, minimizing physical strain is a vital part of recovering and ought to be avoided. Is BodyTite right for me?

BodyTite is an ideal procedure for anyone who is concerned about excess body fat that is not responding to diet and exercise and who is seeking a nonsurgical procedure that requires less downtime than surgery or liposuction and does not leave behind unsightly scars. BodyTite is appropriate for use on almost any area of the body except the face and neck (which can, however, be treated with the same technology using InMode’s FaceTite), but is most commonly used on:

Does BodyTite help with cellulite?

While not designed for treating cellulite, BodyTite can provide some improvements in areas affected by it. Cellulite is not caused by fat but by fibrous bands beneath the skin. Cellulite-specific treatments will target these bands. Still, the tightening effect of this procedure can reduce the visibility of cellulite by creating a more even skin contour.

Is BodyTite suitable for weight loss?

While the treatment does target fat, it is not suitable as a weight-loss treatment. It works best for patients near their ideal body weight who want to further enhance their contours. It is excellent for patients who are struggling with those few final pounds of stubborn fat that is resistant to diet and exercise.

Can I repeat the treatment?

Another advantage of the procedure is that you can repeat it safely. With full surgery, patients should try to avoid having repeat procedures to minimize the strain on their bodies. BodyTite provides a milder experience, allowing for repeat visits. However, we recommend patients wait at least 12 months before having another session.

Is BodyTite Safe?

Dr. Brent’s approach to BodyTite maximizes patient safety in an already safe procedure. Since it only requires local anesthetic, you avoid the strain of general anesthesia. Additionally, the incisions are very minimal. Some mild discomfort afterward is normal, but otherwise, side effects are mild and resolve within a matter of days.

Can you combine BodyTite with other procedures?

Even alone, BodyTite can provide patients with exceptional results. If you have additional cosmetic concerns, though, you can certainly combine it with other procedures. We work with patients individually to assess their targets and provide recommendations accordingly. You can combine BodyTite with other minimally invasive or nonsurgical procedures to enhance your results. What is the best age for the treatment?

Patients between 18 and 40 years of age tend to see the best results from this treatment. Patients past their 40s can still see benefits but may benefit more from a surgical procedure. We evaluate each patient’s case unique to them, providing tailored recommendations in line with their goals.
