Radiesse Beverly Hills
RADIESSE is an injectable dermal filler providing patients with the dual benefits of immediate cosmetic improvement to the appearance of the skin, coupled with long-term wrinkle-reducing effects. RADIESSE works by creating a scaffold under the skin to instantly restore depleted facial volume, thereby smoothing the appearance of lines and wrinkles. In addition, RADIESSE ignites the body’s natural collagen production mechanism, ensuring that your skin will retain its youthfully firm appearance for up to a year or more. Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) is the active ingredient in RADIESSE, and over time, this water-based gel carrier is naturally metabolized by the body, leaving behind only the natural collagen the CaHA has stimulated your body to produce.
The loss of facial volume can be attributed to factors such as significant weight loss, illness, or the natural aging process, and can negatively impact one’s facial appearance by highlighting the prominence of wrinkles and facial folds, causing the face to appear aged or tired. Fortunately, RADIESSE is specifically designed to treat and correct a number of aesthetic issues associated with the loss of facial volume, including, but not limited to:
- Downturned corners of the mouth (Oral Commissures)
- Prominent marionette lines—lines that run straight downwards from the corners of the mouth
- Deepening of laugh lines (Nasolabial folds)—lines extending from the sides of the nose down to the corners of the mouth
- Formation of chin wrinkles: lines forming horizontally across the chin
Proper administration of dermal fillers requires a high degree of accuracy and precision, which is why it is important to have your RADIESSE injections performed by a trained practitioner with extensive experience in the aesthetic enhancement field. Esteemed plastic surgeon Dr. Brent Moelleken, F.A.C.S, is double board-certified in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and one of only three surgeons in the world to complete the year-long Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship at UCLA. Along with his well-trained staff at Moelleken Plastic Surgery, with locations in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles, Dr. Moelleken will listen closely to your needs and develop a customized treatment plan to ensure that you achieve the best possible results from your RADIESSE injections.
Radiesse® Procedure Details
Your RADIESSE treatment will be performed in our office and should take no longer than 20 minutes, after which, you can return to your daily schedule without the need for any downtime. RADIESSE is FDA-approved for supplementation with lidocaine in order to ensure your comfort during and after your treatment. Although you may experience temporary post-treatment bruising and swelling, these symptoms are generally mild and are quick to subside. Your skin-smoothing RADIESSE results will be apparent immediately after your treatment and typically last for six months to a year after your initial injections (results can be further extended with periodic maintenance injections). Complementary skin rejuvenation procedures (ie. microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and Botox/Dysport) can be performed along with your RADIESSE injections to intensify and maximize your results.
